Method, and its limits
A listing counts as matched only when its name agrees with a register entry in the same city and, where both give a street number or phone number, those agree too; doubtful pairs were checked by hand or left unmatched. Ontario and British Columbia publish a licence number, which we show; Alberta’s register does not. In the other 10 provinces and territories we have not yet checked a register, so those 151 listings carry no licence mark — that is not a finding that they are unlicensed.
