About Keepsake Guide

Keepsake Guide is a free, independent directory of end-of-life services across all 13 Canadian provinces and territories — funeral homes, cremation, monuments, florists, grief support, and estate law — alongside obituaries and a step-by-step guide for what to do after a loss. It is available in English, French, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

How listings are sourced

Providers are compiled from public sources — provincial funeral regulators (such as the Bereavement Authority of Ontario and Consumer Protection BC), the Funeral Service Association of Canada, and providers’ own websites. Each listing shows the provider’s name, address, phone, and website. We do not publish star ratings or reviews, and we never invent business details, prices, or credentials. If a listing is out of date, please tell us using the “Claim this listing” link on any provider page.

Editorial standards

Our guides are for general information only — they are not legal, medical, or financial advice. Cost ranges are typical Canadian estimates and vary by provider and city; figures such as the Canada Pension Plan death benefit (up to $2,500) come from the relevant government program. Always confirm details with the provider or the appropriate government office. Guide content was last reviewed in June 2026.

Independence

Keepsake Guide is reader-supported and editorially independent. Some outbound links (for example, sympathy flowers) may be affiliate links that help cover the cost of running the site; they never affect which providers are listed or how they are ordered.
