Open data: Canada’s end-of-life services

We maintain a directory of 298 providers across 113 cities in all 13 Canadian provinces and territories — including 9 in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon, which most directories skip entirely. It is free to download, free to reuse, and updated monthly. Please attribute Keepsake Guide and link back.

How it is compiled

Entries are drawn from provincial funeral regulators and boards — the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, Consumer Protection BC, the Alberta Funeral Services Regulatory Board, the Funeral Board of Manitoba, the Nova Scotia Board of Registration, the Newfoundland and Labrador Funeral Services Board and territorial Vital Statistics offices — together with the Funeral Service Association of Canada member directory and providers’ own websites. Every entry is verified against at least one such source. Coordinates are geocoded from the street address using OpenStreetMap Nominatim. We publish no ratings and no reviews, and nothing in the dataset is inferred or generated.
